Slater’s Country Store is a fascinating place to be in. You can find us at 52 Main street and we are open 7 days a week, so drop in and have a leisurely browse and say hello to our friendly staff.
Stepping into Slater's is like stepping back in time. Inside, you will experience some of the history of more than 120 years of trading with five generations of the one family at the helm. Slater’s' original wall phone can still be heard by visitors. The flying fox still flies across the store to a model of Grandma Slater in her tiny upstairs office, and the sad tale of a missed opportunity is written large in a mural on the wall outside.
