Railton: Town of Topiary

Walk around the small town to see more than 100 topiaries, including an elephant and baby, Ned Kelly, an almost life-sized steam train, guitar and the perhaps unique topiary war memorial. In 1999, local residents Stephen “Bluey” Rand and Neil Hurley thought it would be great to grow topiaries around the town, to encourage visitors, and almost 20 years on, there are enough topiaries to entertain visitors for hours. There are many topiaries various stages of growth. Topiaries are also located in private gardens and we appreciate visitors quietly viewing without entering the residences.
