Old Time Music Hall

The Lions Club of Kentish “Old Time Music Hall” production has been an ongoing tradition for 28 years. Four shows and two matinee productions are conducted in mid August every year. No other show in Tasmania is like this one!
Shows are colourful and often bawdy with audience participation involving cheering the hero. Of course, naturally booing and hissing the villain goes without saying! Audience interaction is part of the performance and can be hilarious. The performers, cast and crew are all local people dedicated to Music Hall entertainment.
Held in the magnificent historic Sheffield Town Hall (built in 1914), these historic surroundings are perfectly in tune with the atmosphere of the Music Hall tradition. The home cooked meal adds to the unique experience for the audience.
Ladies from the Bowls Club cook and serve the “home-cooked” dinner while drinks are served by handsome, stylishly dressed, waiters co-opted from the Kentish Lions Club, as the older tradition approves.

A fabulous night of entertainment for all! So come along and enjoy yourself!

Contact the Secretary, Kevin Russell on 03 6492 3373 for bookings and  information on the 2010 production

Proceeds of the Music Hall are donated to charities and projects selected by the Kentish Lions Club.
